Anna Maria Kayak Rental Adventure...
Another fun story we recieved from one of our Fun and More Kayak Rentals guests.
We rented a number of single and double kayaks and delivered them to the guest’s Anna Maria Island vacation rental home. Our group of 6 guests were from Pennsylvania and their rental accommodation was a canal home on the north end of Anna Maria.
The group kayaked out of the canals to exit the east side of the Island into Tampa Bay. They then kayaked north past Bayfront Park. Their first stop was the Rod and Reel Pier where they stopped for a cold beverage. After enjoying the sites and the excitement of the pier they hopped back into their kayaks and again went North to the north tip of Anna Maria which is called Bean Point.
After a brief stop on the point, they paddled for 15 more minutes south and they were headed to the Sandbar Restaurant for lunch. At the Sandbar they said they had a wonderful lunch on the deck overlooking the Gulf of Mexico.
The entire trip took them most of the day, but what a fun way to see the sites of Anna Maria from the water. The guests from Pennsylvania will definitely be back.
I told them if they like fishing that next time they once again rent a kayak, not just to site see, but to go kayak fishing. Hooking into a fish while in a kayak is a thrill to remember from a Florida vacation for sure.
Now that is a fun adventurous way to spend an afternoon while vacationing on Anna Maria Island.
Just so everyone knows, Fun and More Kayak Rentals now serves Longboat Key and the Siesta Key areas as well as Anna Maria Island.
