What a blast it is to actually be here on Anna Maria Island. It's like a dream come true. It is a dream come true... really!
We been planning this trip I think for years now and finally made it, and its everything we had hoped for. Anna Maria Island Rocks!
We haven't been to many places in Florida, but I'm going to make the claim anyway. Anna Maria Island is the best vacation destination location in all of Florida. Hey, I can say it if I want. It's a free country and right now for me, Anna Maria Island is the best place to spend my vacation, bar none... its got that Old Florida appeal.

We got an amazing vacation rental home on the beach and love it. It is so, so much better than staying in a hotel. Its like a dream home for us. What better way to spend your vacation in paradise, but living in a dream home in paradise. I mean its got a pool and everything!
We did get a little carried away last night and ended up making quite the food mess. No worries though, we cleaned it up. Wouldn't want to lose our security deposit... lol.
Actually, I should say, the people at Anna Maria Island Accommodations, our vacation rental home service, are amazing. It was hassle free getting set up with this incredible beach front home we are staying in.
Then there was the folks at Fun and More Rents, a local vacation supply company that rents everything from baby and kids stuff to water sport equipment, bikes, beach supplies and they even will bring you groceries!
Yesterday we explored some of the shops in town. I found a really cute pair of sandals in turquoise and lime green with gems on them. I’d take a photo but I seem to have lost my camera. Well, we'll have do something about that tomorrow cause there is so much to photograph on Anna Maria Island.
I also scored a gently used Lilly Pulitzer blanket in greens and pinks for $35 bucks!!! Gotta love Anna Maria Island. So much to enjoy!
Yesterday we visited the Old IGA which I’ve read about and my cousin said we should check out. It’s were I scored my blanket. They also have a great sandwich shop. We purchased some sandwiches for lunch. I have to admit…they were darn good.
Last night we made it down to the Pier on time to watch the sunset. It was very pretty. Although I think we’ll have to explore other areas of the island to watch the sunset. Might be better views elsewhere.
Wow, Anna Maria Island has so much to offer, and we only been here a couple of days!
