Getting Married on Anna Maria Island

If you are engaged to be married, and you're thinking about a dream wedding in paradise, then think Anna Maria Island, Florida.

Anna Maria Island is the fastest growing and most popular wedding destination location in all of Florida, and on January 25th, from 11 am - 6 pm, local Anna Maria Island Wedding Merchants will host their second annual, strolling wedding festival.

Unlike any other wedding show, trade fair or festival you have ever attended, the Anna Maria Island Wedding Festival will include 40 plus local wedding vendors positioned at some 12 different locations around the Island. Start the day by registering at the Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce. You will be given a gift bag, complete with a map to find your way and merchant-specific information.

Last year you could travel around the island by complementary trolley or limo and tour the businesses of the Anna Maria Island wedding merchants responsible for organizing this amazing event... and you can expect the same first class treatment this coming January!

Hosted by local Anna Maria Island Wedding Merchants, your wedding festival experiences will include first-hand tours of various honeymoon suites, wedding and reception venues, tastings with caterers and bakeries, and time with local wedding photographers and musicians.

Although 2009 festival details are still in the planning stages, last year there were two New York-style fashion shows going on throughout the day, featuring the latest in wedding attire, hair styles and make-up. The Sandbar Restaurant's 'sunset celebration' topped off the event with everyone welcome to enjoy a champagne toast, wedding cake and grand prize drawing for an Anna Maria Island Dream Beach Wedding package.

• Pre registration is $7.00 per person; $10.00 per person the day of the event.

• You can preregister up to January 23th, at 5:00 pm.

Registration fee along with visiting at least 9 out of the 12 location sites automatically enters you into the prize drawings.
