Rotary Club Receives International Award

Rotary Club of Anna Maria Island Receives Prestigious Award From Rotary International...

It's been reported that the Rotary Club of Anna Maria Island recently received a prestigious award from Rotary International in recognition of membership development initiatives. The award was presented at a Rotary Foundation and Membership meeting Aug. 23 in Port Charlotte.

Gary Israel, local district governor in 2007-08, presented the award on behalf of the board of directors of Rotary International for the club's "Innovative Approach To Membership Growth and Development During 2007-08 In Rotary District 6960."

The Rotary Club of Anna Maria Island added five new members as the result of a membership event in October. For more information about the club, call Dantia Gould at 778-1880 or e-mail Dantia@planttender.com.
