Pickleball at the Anna Maria Island Community Center...
That's right, the organizers of the 'Bridging the Gap Festivities' have come up with some pretty cool ways to draw interest and people to Anna Maria Island during the bridge closure. One of the more interesting is Pickleball!
What is Picklball?
Pickleball is a fun game that is played on a badminton court with the net lowered to 34 inches at the center. It is played with a perforated plastic baseball (similar to a whiffle ball) and wood or composite paddles. It is easy for beginners to learn, but can quickly develop into a fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.
