It is being reported in the Bradenton Herald that local financial advisers were busy Tuesday fielding calls and e-mails from clients seeking reassurance about their stock investments.
"Some investors do feel the pull of the media attention and the headlines as well as the market action," said Tom Breiter with Breiter Capital on Anna Maria Island.
Kris Flammang, senior financial adviser with LPF Financial, said the 10 to 15 calls he expected to eventually receive Tuesday were people who showed calm concern and were seeking reassurance. He is advising his clients that if they don't need their investment funds for the next 10 to 15 years, now is a good time to buy because stocks are at a discount.
