Boogie boarding is a type of bodyboarding. Bodyboarding is a form of wave riding.

The boogie board consists of a small rectangular piece of foam, shaped to a hydrodynamic form. The board can be shaped to different riding styles, and size of rider.

Boogie boarding is not as expensive as surfing and almost anyone can do it, perhaps not expertly at first, but at least well enough to be able to have some fun.
