Bradenton - Sarasota Real Estate Prices Rising...
We all know the United States real estate market began deflating in 2006 and has continued to decline since, especially in populous areas such as Florida. In fact the Florida real estate market has been hit particularly hard, with the Bradenton and Sarasota Florida real estate market at one point being declared the seventh worst real estate market in the nation.
Bradenton - Sarasota Home Sales and Home Prices Moving Up
In spite of this national real estate trend, things are actually looking up in the Bradenton Sarasota area. Both home sales in Bradenton and home prices moved up during the month of November when compared to October, and although sales and prices are still well below what they were this time in 2006, there has been an upward swing the last two to three months.
On December 31st, just three weeks ago, the news on Bradenton.com read:
- "While November 2007 homes sales were down 17 percent from November 2006, they were up 5 percent over October's number."
- "The median price in Bradenton/Sarasota dropped from November 2006 to November 2007 by 4 percent, but month to month prices are starting to show a small gain."
- "The median price of an existing home in Bradenton/Sarasota was $267,700 in November, $3,600 higher than it was just one month before."
According to numbers released in November by the Florida Association of Realtors, the median price of a home in Bradenton - Sarasota was $283,800 in the third quater. Just 6 percent less than it was the same quarter of 2006. This means the rate of decline is slowing and just maybe the Bradenton - Sarasota real estate market is beginning to recover... is that possible?
It was also stated that Bradenton - Sarasota was the fourth highest metro area in number of homes sold in the third quarter of 2007, and that "Experts have often surmised that the Bradenton - Sarasota real estate market would be among the first to recover because it is a forerunner during the boom and subsequent correction in the market."
Perhaps all is not lost yet.
