With the increase in popularity of “destination weddings”, Anna Maria Island, Florida has grown to be considered the “Wedding Capital of Florida”. There is no where else in the country that provides the future bride with every possible amenity she could imagine for her dream wedding, in one of the most picturesque beach settings in the world.
What is the Anna Maria Island Wedding Festival?
On February 10, 2008 from 10-6, presented by the award winning Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce, Anna Maria Island’s premiere wedding merchants will be having an Island-Wide, Strolling Wedding Festival.
Unlike the typical wedding show, this strolling wedding festival will have a wide variety of vendors set up at over 20 different locations throughout Anna Maria Island. Attendees will start by registering at the Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce where they will receive a goodie bag, map and vendor information. They may travel via Anna Maria Island’s quaint complimentary trolley, limousine, or their own vehicle to any or all of the sites.
Unique to other wedding shows, the bride and groom to be will be able to view the actual wedding suite where they may be spending their honeymoon, tour the wedding and reception venues, taste samples of wedding cake, in addition to meeting with the array of wedding vendors that will be demonstrating their services. There will also be a New York style fashion show which will feature the latest in wedding attire, hair styles and make-up.
