Learn From the Mistakes of Others When Planning Your Anna Maria Island Wedding: Rent a Reputable Banquet Hall for Your Wedding Celebrations...
When it comes to planning your Anna Maria Island wedding, it's best to learn from the experiences of others. This will enable you to divert a wedding day disaster and avoid your own wedding day celebration horror stories.
Here at the Anna Maria Island Wedding Directory, we contacted some brides to see if they had any tales of their wedding to share. We weren’t looking for normal, happy stories, however - but instead looked for Wedding HORROR Stories!

Wedding Banquet Hall Fiasco
“I got married at a very nice, reputable banquet hall. My contract said that they would only cater to one wedding at a time, even though there were two rooms. So we used one room for cocktail hour and the bigger ballroom for the actual reception. Well, when we moved out of the smaller room into the ball room, we were very rushed. It turned out that a 1/2 hour later, a Sweet 16 party came in. This wouldn't have been a big deal except that...
- a) they never told me
- b) there was only one set of bathrooms and facilities so we had to share with kids in jeans
- c) they had a DJ and you could hear the horrid heavy metal music over our band (guess the walls weren't soundproofed)
- d) some of the kids actually came into our ballroom and drank from our open bar
The worst part was that my grandmother (of all people!!) saw a 16 or so year old kid throwing up at the end of the night in the parking lot.”
So I guess the moral of this story is that the "very nice, reputable banquet hall" wasn't so nice and reputable after all.
When planning your Anna Maria Island wedding, always ensure in writing that there are no other gigs going on that could conflict with your wedding ceremony or reception afterwards.
