Anna Maria Island is located on the west coast of Florida, 40 miles south of Tampa Bay and seven miles west of Bradenton, making it a literal barrier between the Gulf of Mexico and Tampa Bay.
Road Access To Anna Maria Island
Anna Maria Island can be accessed over the Manatee Avenue Bridge (U.S. State Road 64)... over the Cortez Bridge (State Road 684)... or the Bridge from Longboat Key to the island.
Anna Maria Island is located within minutes from Sarasota and Bradenton International Airport. Most
visitors to the island arrive by car while others prefer to take a leisurely cruise and then stop at one of the island’s many pier restaurants or marinas.

Location: 7 Miles S Of Orlando
From Orlando... Drive west towards Tampa on Interstate 4 until you get to Interstate 75, then South to Exit 220 (Old exit 42).
- Turn right onto State Road 64, (which becomes Manatee Ave).
- Drive approximately 18 miles to Anna Maria Island.
- You'll be going through the city of Bradenton, over the causeway, and over the Island Bridge.
- Once on Anna Maria Island, continue on through the traffic light and then yield right at the next traffic light.
- Follow this road (789N) for a ½ mile until you reach the information center and the Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce located in the Yellow Building on the right side of road, just before the Marina Drive traffic light.

Location: 5 Miles West Of Downtown Tampa
From Tampa... Follow Exit Signs from Airport toward 275 South.
- Follow 275 South. toward St. Petersburg.
- Proceed over the Howard Franklin Bridge.
- Continue through St. Petersburg on 275 South.
- Follow signs for Bradenton to Skyway Bridge.
- After the Brandenton to Skyway Bridge follow signs to Route 19 South Bradenton/Palmetto.
- Follow 19 South toward Business 41 South (Palmetto sign only).
- Stay on 41 South thru Palmetto & over the Manatee River Bridge.
- At the third traffic light (Manatee Ave- SR 64) turn RIGHT and drive 10 miles to Anna Maria Island.
- Continue through the city of Bradenton and over causeway, then over the island bridge.
- Once on Anna Maria Island, continue on through the traffic light and then yield right at the next traffic light.
- Follow this road (789N) for a ½ mile until you reach the information center and the Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce located in the Yellow Building on the right side of road, just before the Marina Drive traffic light.
Directions to Anna Maria Island from the South (Ft. Meyers / Naples / Miami / Ft. Lauderdale):
- Take Alligator Alley to Interstate 75 North (Miami & Ft. Lauderdale).
- Follow Interstate 75 north to Exit 220B (Old 42B).
- After the loop in the bridge, follow State Road 64, (which becomes Manatee Ave).
- Continue through the city of Bradenton about 18 miles, over the causeway to Anna Maria Island and over the island bridge.
- Once on Anna Maria Island, continue on through the traffic light and then yield right at the next traffic light.
- Follow this road (789N) for a ½ mile until you reach the information center and the Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce located in the Yellow Building on the right side of road, just before the Marina Drive traffic light.

Exit the airport on 41 North, right toward Bradenton.
- Turn left on 53rd.
- Take 53rd all the way to the intersection with Cortez Rd.
- Go straight through as the road becomes 75th St. West.
- Proceed to the intersection with Manatee Ave (SR 64) and procede over the causeway, and over the island bridge 7 miles to Anna Maria Island.
- Once on Anna Maria Island, continue on through the traffic light and then yield right at the next traffic light.
- Follow this road (789N) for a ½ mile until you reach the information center and the Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce located in the Yellow Building on the right side of road, just before the Marina Drive traffic light.
